Requiem for Corporate Personhood - Our May 10th Play
Fortune smiled and frowned on us at lunchtime this May 10th as we presented our Requiem for Corporate Personhood. The bad news was a troublesome sound system, but the good news was glorious weather and the determination to persevere with an inspiring performance despite that troublesome sound system. Our volunteer group came out in force and put together a fun program, proving emphatically that we don't have to be gloom-and-doom as we work passionately for what we know to be right!
Special kudos go to Elaine Brown for puling all the strings behind the scenes, to the Raging Grannies for their choral contribution, to George and Rosa Antoine, Marc Bashara and Bill Barrett for their thespian skills, also to Bill Barrett for creating the great original material, to Mary Klein for our new economy raffle, and to all the other SCC-MTA crew who volunteered their time and energy to make it all happen.
Stay tuned for more light (and enlightening) programs that carry huge weight!
